 SEMINAR SYNOPSIS: “YOUR LIGHT TO FINDING THE STUDENT WITHIN”

 

INTRODUCTION

 

1.            What follows in this synopsis is very candidly expressed because this is literally the birth of such a seminar for Educators. You stand to experience the intentions of this seminar titled “Your Light to Finding the Student Within” from a psychological view point

2.            Graduates of this 2-day intensive seminar will get a substantial experience and ability to help students discover their innate intelligence and guide them to achieve success in their studies, sports, music and life in general.

3.            The 1st of a series of this seminar for the general public will roll out on 14 & 15 Aug 2010. We do also run this seminar within educational institutions for homogenous groups.

 

BACKGROUND STORY

 

4.            Dear Teachers, I must confess that I did not do well in school. I hated going to school in a quiet way. I was well behaved and generally a good kid but not necessarily disciplined in every way. I found it very difficult to complete and hand in my homework diligently. I found it a chore to pay attention in class and to comprehend what I was taught. I was baffled as to why some of my classmates understood the lessons more than I did. I was not aware then that I had learning disability and I agreed with the names my teachers called me: lazy, stupid, slow, idiot. Why? I did not know why!

5.            My school did not carry out any form of diagnosis to discern if I needed help because there was no such thing. I had to struggle to scrap through school and I signed up in the Armed Forces because I had to replace my father to put food on the table for my family. I continued to struggle through life because I continued to think I was indeed not very clever. I worked super hard and sheer hard work allowed me to rise through the ranks and retire early as a Major. Not bad for a ‘stupid ‘guy right?

6.            I’m not singling out any of my teachers and pointing finger at them, but am taking responsibility for my short comings. I wish I knew that my short-comings were considered learning disability rather than laziness. Now I know, and I do not want another kid to go through what I’ve gone through. Sadly, I’m not a teacher in a main stream school and I cannot do anything about it all by myself even if I was.

7.            Having studied extensively into mind sciences like Neuro-Linguistic Programming, Psychology, Hypnotherapy & Time Line Therapy, and having helped scores of kids with learning disability using all of these mind sciences, I am passionate to help kids through teachers. By the way, I would like to engage teachers who have a real passion to help kids succeed in life and help shape our future. For teachers who have gone into the teaching profession by mistake and because they had no other choice, although this may seem useless, you may be surprised what a fulfilling career awaits you. Either way, let’s talk!

WHAT ARE THE QUESTIONS THAT WILL BE ANSWERED & EXPERIENCED IN THIS COMPREHENSIVE 2-DAY SEMINAR?

 

11.         How did we become the way we are? What’s stopping us? You will learn and be able to empathise with the shortcomings of your students. You’ll learn how to help them professionally using change manifesting processes. You’ll learn ways of how to covertly help them change as you help them learn.  

12.         Tuning “STOP” to “GO” or “RED” to “GREEN”. You will experience the mind components that are inhibiting our lives and learn ways of how to overcome them. You will then be able to help your students do the same.

13.         Ways how to build rapport instantly, with individuals and groups. When you have rapport with your students they will give you the respect you need to engage them in learning. Your classroom will be a joyful place to work in. You will learn several covert rapport building techniques.

14.         Why “State Management” is the single most powerful learning tool? You will learn how to stay in a resourceful emotional state throughout your day at school and through life. You will learn how to get your students into a resourceful learning state that will enhance their interest in even seemingly boring subjects.

15.         Experience sensory learning preferences and how to ‘power-up’ your weaker senses for effective learning. You will understand how to calibrate the preferred learning styles of your students and be equipped with communication skills to appease all learning styles. You’ll also learn ways of how to help improve the weaker senses of your students.

16.         How to enhance Creativity and Memory for self and your students. You will be able to calibrate the way you currently use your brain and learn how to deliberately improve your memory and creativity. You will also learn how to use this mind science to enhance your presentation skills.

17.         How to speak directly to the Unconscious Mind.      You will learn and be proficient in communicating with the inner mind of the student, thereby embedding the learning and making it easier for them to recall whatever you have taught.

18.         Apply all of the above in a classroom setting effectively. You will have a clear idea and experience of how to apply all of the knowledge and experience gained immediately at work.

19.         Fire-up your presentation and persuasion skills.     These two traits that are of paramount importance for all leaders will be part of you by the end of day 2.
